The Oscars this year are revolutionary.
Not because, as Trent Pink ITNB hoped, they promise to be the Gayest Oscars Ever - with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Heath Ledger picking up Best Actor noms for playing fagbots, Felicity Huffman up for Best Actress for playing an MTF, and Capote going - snicker - head to head with Brokeback for Best Picture.
No. This Oscar ceremony marks another revolution, friends: the MTV revolution. This year, more MTV films are nominated for Big O's than ever before: Hustle & Flow for Best Actor and Best Song, and Murderball for Best Documentary. Who can't wait to hear some unlucky starlet announce the Best Song noms?
Am I the only one that hopes Brokeback doesn't sweep? There are only so many speeches one can sit through about fearless Hollywood, and the voice of the voiceless, and the little film that could, and how Jake and Heath aren't really ha ha ha, heh heh, yack yack.
It's hard out here for a pimp (as interpreted by Cirque Du Soleil),
