Party Mix! New Outkast! Preteens! Shoo!

To celebrate Tom Cruise in general and specifically Wesleyan's Spring Fling celebration with ANDREW WK!!! and some other whoevers, here is an ass-ramming clit-twiddling fucksplosion of sick beats that make you want to have sex and kill cops, served with an indie pop song by two tween girls! Look out for lyrics like "My rhymes are painfully fresh, my pussy's tasting the best, i'm face-scratching, weave-snatching if you ready to step!" Out!

1. Smoosh - Find A Way Smoosh made a splash at CMJ with their pop prodigy act; 12-year-old drummer Chloe and 14-year-old frontkid/keyboardist Asya supposedly write their own music, and certainly execute it with grace. This song takes Smoosh out of the precocious-young-things category, and puts them smack in the holy-shit-what-are-you-Jesus category. Do you hear those drums? Do you hear those vocals? Pre-puberty is doing something great for Asya's voice. Some blogger complained that on the upcoming Barsuk release, the girls have "moved into a little more 'general' sound, rather than the quirky quality of She Like Electric". I'm not sure what in the flying hell "general" sound is - but I feel comfortable calling this song "specific", or even "meticulously outlined, with citations." [PRE-ORDER FREE TO STAY]

2. Spank Rock - Bump Yoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyo! [BUY YOYOYOYOYO]

3. Papoose - Alphabet Slaughter For those of ya'll that didn't finish school, Papoose breaks down the alphabet - flawlessly. Hard to explain the gimmick here, but it is awesome - and it ends with "A&R's, holla at me now - or suffer later!" Amen. [BUY PAPOOSE MIXTAPES] [THANKS AVI]

4. Outkast - The Mighty O The first single off Idlewilde, and thus destined to blow up in a matter of weeks. Reminds me of Outkast's old, laid-back dirty south sound, but the organ sample and synth give it a new soul / R&B spin. Enjoy the shit out of it now, before excessive play renders it charmless. [PREORDER IDLEWILD]

5. Uffie - Pop The Glock

6. Uffie - Ready To Uff If Peaches had a vaguely European accent, looked like a VICE "do", was slightly less familiar with hip hop and slightly more into Jem & The Holograms, she'd be Uffie. Luckily, Uffie is doing it for her. [VISIT HER MYSPACE] [THANKS MAX]

7. Roots Manuva - Colossal Insight This track is from Alternately Deep, Roots' remix record of his 2005 release Awfully Deep. This has that particularly grimey aspect of being slow, but hard-hitting. Good soundtrack for lighting a spliff and casually shooting someone. [BUY ALTERNATELY DEEP]

6. Andrew WK - Party Hard Do it. [BUY LIVE DVD WHO KNOWS?]

**Bonus Track: Cibelle feat. Devendra Banhart - London, London Question: what's the sound solution to a full day of partying, hard rock, and substance abuse? Answer: Indie bossa nova. It's happening now. [BUY THE SHINE OF DRIED ELECTRIC LEAVES]

I am the worst blogger ever recently. Whatevs, I am essentially done with my classes so I'm back in the biz. Thanks for the heads-up about the Outkast jam.

Also, I partied hard with Andrew WK. He touched my hand and I was one degree away from humping him.

speaking if humping...Andrea is the hottest!
