The Culturally Insensitive News In Brief

Today, a bunch of topless African virgins danced around in front of the king of Swaziland wearing skimpy outfits made of grass and beads. Mardi Gras Afrique was held so that King Mswati III, sub-Saharan Africa's last absolute monarch, could choose a 13th wife. The 50,000 or so women involved in the event brought up the single-serve palace and BMW given to every wife taken by the king; Critics brought up Swaziland's completely insane AIDS pandemic as a reason why sex with teenagers should probably not officially be endorsed by the government; Mswati issued a statement saying, "Why you hatin'?! My bitches got whiiiiiipz! I'm the king, son!" All I'm thinking is: 50,000 virgins, huh?

Speaking of whips, I have yet to catch the VMA's on replay, but I hear that Diddy really made it into his own party - it was practically all hip-hop. Sounds pretty sweet.

Speaking of tittays, as part of a Planet of the Apes-reminiscent exhibit at the London Zoo, WASPy models dressed in the Yatta costumes are part of the
Human Zoo exhibit; but even cooler than that is how this totally crazy website reports it as "psychological warfare" aimed at making the "target population...see itself in animal terms."

Christian yoga. Yes.

Speaking of Brangelina (we were, weren't we?), a judge has approved the Jennifer Aniston / Brad Pitt divorce - but according to Time, blonde busybody ex-gf Gwyneth Paltrow has condemned it. Implying that Pitt is to blame for the publicity flood, Paltrow sited their public engagement and breakup in 1997. The magazine quotes her saying, "It would have been a lot easier on [them] now if they had not talked to the press about each other and everything to begin with...I learned my lesson at 24."

Hi, I just searched "Human Zoo" to see what the blog chatter about it said. It ended today, and it was not fun !

Wow, I can imagine. It makes for an amusing blog, though - well done.
