Some weird artist lady named Marie Lorenz has built a canoe and would like to take you to school or the office or the library in it. The idea is to take you where you’d normally go by a different, water-borne route, so you can email her your departure point, destination, and the time you need to get where you’re going. Also, artsy types should email proposals for the Gowanus Octoberfest (10.22), which is to be hosted on a 63-ft boat with a big empty room and a roof deck – any kind of technology projects, art, performance, and anything that utilizes the space is welcome.
