Totes stolen from umbrellas: Stop the Bop is an ongoing fundraiser at a Catholic school in McSherrystown, PA, in which Hanson's 1996 hit "MMMBop" will play repeatedly in school hallways until $3000 have been raised from student donation to aid Hurricane Katrina relief efforts (I know it's true because it's on the news).
This is particularly poetic to those of us who lived this terror already in 1996, when there was no one to pay off to stop it.
I'd like to see some Chocolate War style rebellion where one student refuses to donate $5, and thus subjects the rest of the sheep to bubblegum pop purgatory.
